This swaddle has exceeded my level of pissedivity, so I felt it was my duty to warn you guys to not waste your money on this product.
I had these 0-3 month swaddles as part of my baby registry. It really doesn't line up on a newborn. It took about 3 to 4 weeks for the center flap to be remotely close to where it's supposed to line up on the baby and my kid was 8 pounds at birth.
I watched their YouTube video to make sure I was donning correctly. If your baby is calm and doesn't fight a traditional swaddle, then this might work for you. If your baby is a gangster like mine and resist swaddle, don't waste your money. IF I'm able to successfully swaddle my kid in this thing, it is only a matter of time before he breaks out.
I've tried this product multiple times, and the majority of the time it ends up damn near suffocating him with the fabric over his face.
This experience is deterring me from purchasing any product from this company, and I'm grateful I have the Love to Dream and Ergo Baby Pouch because this product is garbage.
After using this on my newborn for the first 1-2 weeks I learned from the doctors and the internet that you dont want to swaddle them tight in their legs because it can cause hip problems for your baby. I immediately stopped using this since there is not enough hip/ leg room. Defiantly should not use this up to 6 months as it recommends.Instead I bought one of those wearable blankets where its loose in the hips and baby can stick out his arms freely. My baby loves it and it gives me peace of mind too for when he starts to roll, he will be able to use his arms unlike this swaddle he does not have free arms or movement in his hips.First time mom over here and sharing what Ive learned to hopefully help other mamas :)
Although these are (clearly falsely) advertised as organic, very extensively, nowhere on the packaging or the swaddles themselves does it say organic -- it just says natural cotton, which is not at all the same thing.
If you're looking to get a baby shower gift or something for a new mom I think this would be a great way to go. The packaging presentation is really beautiful and then of course the swaddle blankets inside are so nice. The shape makes it so easy to wrap your baby up like a cute little burrito.
These zippy swaddles were great to keep him from having his startle reflex wake him up.. It ruined several of my nursing tank tops so this is the best swaddle for him.
These are exactly as described. Very soft. Great quality and easy to use which is so important to me given I'm a first time mom. The colors are so cute and they are long enough for baby to use for a long time! The company also provided a very nice message with the packaging which I loved.
Let me say that these are pretty good beginner swaddles. I use these now for zippy naps or to calm my baby, that way when she needs a change it comes off. I do like that they're soft, but almost to a fault. They do stretch out a bit where you zip it shut. This isnt really that big of a deal either because it just means you've used it enough to wash it. Overall, decent product for the price and good for a new parent.
These swaddle wraps are super easy to use. They fit snug, with a little extra room to spare. The patterns and colors are gender neutral. The fabric is thick/high quality, but not too warm. It feels like a very soft sweatshirt material. These are perfect for the spring and summer seasons. I washed all three blankets prior to using them and they came out of the machine looking great. I highly recommend these swaddle blankets!
